Proving Grounds - Mapping Contest
Dear Ninjas around the Globe
Short link to actual contest : https://n-game-v2.forumactif.org/t114-proving-grounds-week-two-gaining-momentum-edition
It is time to light things up here I am thinking about mapping contest.
The Idea
I want Community to send me Tilesets, send them through this forum.
Later on, You will pick tileset (edit: starting from 21/07/2014 3 tilesets are posted, after 5 days time the one with most votes, makes it to next week's contest), which will be posted in special contest thread.
YOU, the community will have 5 days during the week (From Monday to Friday) to make your interpretation of this level.
Then at Friday, I will choose levels for voting ( Dont worry, at this stage I will just filter out levels which dont follow rules)
Next, during weekend (Friday to Sunday), I will post levels ( number of levels will depend on amount of maps I get from you, but I think it will be from 10 to 15 levels per week)
YOU, Community will have chance to vote for the best one, which will be claimed a winner. Results and new tileset, posted each monday.
Ok here is a bunch of rules :
Tileset sending rules
1. Send tilesets only (Tileset - a form of map which includes tiles only)
2. Send them to me through this forum, use following form :
[BC] 'Tileset Name' 'Author'
" in the title, inside it post link to your tileset, and a short message (optional) e.g "[BC]Xyz by Blacklef"3. You can send as much tilesets as you want.
Map editing rules
1. Don't change any tiles, maps with changed tiles will be rejected
2. Don't change context of a map, tileset must be a part of your map.
3. Be serious, I don't want any random filled maps, or maps with dicks in it, you know what I mean
4. Every person can send me just one contest map, (if you have send me a map, and you want to replace it with another one, it is not a problem just message me)
5. Cooperverdon's annotation: All maps must be possible
5.Send maps using private message in following form :
[BC] ' Week' 'Author'
for e.g. [BC]Week 7 Blacklef
Voting rules
1. Voting starts friday evening lasts to sunday night, every person has one vote.
2. Be fair in voting, vote with your own heart and mind, that of course does not mean you can't speak freely about contest maps.
This message is just a rules thread , stay tuned for more information. If you have questions and propositions post them here.
Yours sincerely, Blacklef

Yes, I can post a poll around friday's midnight, or earlier if people would want it.
I only accept levels send to me through private messages of this forum.

Cool idea.
Make sure every entry has a code in the name for easy searching.

Re: Proving Grounds - Mapping Contest
I dont see any problem with levels that did not made it to the contest, but I would not want community to use levels which are in contest.

Re: Proving Grounds - Mapping Contest
Wouldnt it be easier to make a post in this thread about the tileset?
And then just change the totle of this thread to "Proving Grounds - We're just getting started edition" for example.
