NPoints Season 5: The Contest is Over!!!

There's a new sheriff in town! Two of them! Me and shomman! And this town ain't big enough for the two of us! So clearly the solution is that we need a bigger town! So we made a bigger town. Specifically, we extended the metaphorical town that is the NPoints competition to include the 1.4 community. That's right! For the first time ever, the NPoints competition is including the 1.4 community! That news again: NPoints now includes the 1.4 community! I'm sure you're all as excited as we are about this. We have gotten many maps from 1.4 mappers, and we are also running the competition on the other forums. Speaking of getting maps from people, we've gotten maps from a lot of different people! And they're actually good!

Other news related to the new management: Each week, the 5 maps posted will be based on a theme. For example, we might have a week entirely of speedruns, or a week entirely of drone based maps. We will release the theme of each week a few days before posting the maps of that week.

Other than that, I suppose the contest will mostly be the same. Play a map to enter into the contest. 5 maps per week. 10 weeks long. Get a top 10 to get a point or some points.
0th = 10 points
1st = 9 points
2nd = 8 points
etc.

Maps will be posted at midnight on Mondays (Pacific Standard Time), and scores for the week will be tallied the following Sundays. There will be a score board available once we make it. Also, because there are physics differences between 1.4 and v2, there will be two separate score boards.

Also the contest will start December 7th. I guess I should have mentioned that sooner. Like, in big bold letters at the top of the post. Oh well.

Oh! Also, I forgot to mention! There are still map slots open! We could use a few more maps. If you are interested in giving us a map, just pm shomman or myself. Probably me actually, because shomman is a huge baby who doesn't like talking to people.

In case some of you are not actually familiar with how npoints works, here is what Nahoj originally wrote about the rules (edited a little bit, as the rules have changed slightly)

Wait, do you still need the maps?

If you could, yeah, we would appreciate you making that map.

There are a few people that have promised us maps that we are still waiting for (hopefully you know who you are, and we will remind you when it's close to the time that we need it). However, at this time, we do not need maps from any new people. If you are not sure if you promised us a map, just ask one of us and we can tell you.

Yeah, he made an edit of fujita's level, and after getting the level data, he didn't think to get rid of the search code in the title. You won't get any points for playing his.

Week 1 is over! swipenet kicked butt by getting 47 points. Congratulations swipenet, and also good work to everyone who played this week.

Where are you announcing the theme for the week? I've looked back at the previous posts, but I can't find a link to where you're announcing the weeks theme. ?

swipe and Cineva fought hard, but swipe managed to get just one more point than Cineva!
Here's a thing... a sort of a note:
swipe and Cineva got every top 2, and golfkid got every 2nd. So, good for them! As a veteran of the contest, I can tell you that is not easy to do!

IMPORTANT NOTE: We will not post maps next week. Week 4 maps will be posted 4 January, 2016. We know a lot of people go on vacation around this time of year, so we wanted to make sure we didn't screw over anyone by posting maps at this time. After we post week 4 maps, everything will continue as normal.

and by the way, you're doing alright considering that you didn't know about the contest! You're still top 20! There are some decent people you could beat if you play through the rest of it.

The theme of this week is N++! That's right! Everybody's favorite ninja-based-platformer has a sequel on the PS4, and we're here to show it off a little bit!
shom and I chose a few interesting levels to recreate for your enjoyment! All credit goes to metanet, except for Map 2, "Ride the Lightning", which was a user level, made by Kalevra_V.

NOTE: There was an error with the titles of this week's maps. You can't read the full title of Map 1 (which is weird because I triple checked all of them, but anyway), the full title is "multiple redundancy self-destruct sequence activation protocol" by metanet (edited for PC by shomman)

This week was crazy! The 5 possible 0ths were spread between 4 different people! It has been a very long time since that has happened! Congratulations to all who participated. Week 5 maps will be posted in ~24 hours, as usual.
