1-frame jumps Empty 1-frame jumps

Post by EddyMataGallos Fri Jun 06, 2014 1:07 pm

So cooper asked me for advice on how to get the 1-frame jumps in level 01-2, and since I had recently recorded a video tutorial explaning just that, I decided I would also share it here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K20KUANxM-8

It's basically a little technique that kkstrong told me, and that I'm sure some others are already aware of, that I've been using on some levels to get those 1-frame jumps.

This little trick won't work on most levels, because it requires you to have a weird hand placement so you can't just go ahead and do that in the middle of a run. But you can do it when the levels difficulty is just to get the 1-frame jumps, or when you have time to switch hands without messing up the rest of the run.

I wasnt going to go for that score for a while. Now I need to go for it before others get it! The trick looks promising.
Thanks

Ah there you go, I always had doubts whether that one was maxed or not. Too complex to be that easily maxed. 00-1 and 01-1, on the other hand, I totally thought were maxed. I'm even considering the fact that M&R updated N and slightly changed the physics xD Because it wasn't tough to tie those.

Regarding maxed levels, you might want to check 00-3.

Woohoo! Tied all 3 levels (00-1, 01-1 and 01-2).

And congratulations Eddy, i was 100% sure it wasn't max. Maybe i'll try it, but not today or tomorrow i think.

00-3 was hard. Id be suprised if there is a frame left... let alone 2, to work with my theory. So I think 72 is maxed. Drove me a little crazy trying to get it, the fact that you skipped 71, is just crazy, i think i got 71 like 20 times.

I honestly doubt 72 is maxed, this level is not as simple as it seems to be that easily maxed. There isn't a clear way to prove its maxed, unlike in other levels.

Btw, you just deleted your old comment? xD

Oh true, I can't find a delete button either, I thought I remembered an older post from you in this thread, but I probably remember it from another thread.

You probably have it as you are admin, but we can't see it. I guess its disabled for regular users, we can only see it in the last post we made.
